Hi guys.
I have two suggestions.
1. Points exchange.
Would it be possible for premium members to have the ability to pass points to people of their choosing?
I've over 3mil at the moment and actually to be honest this is my girlfriends suggestion lol. She umm thought it would be nice if I could share the wealth. lol
2. Current status.
It would also be nice to have the ability to change your status whilst logged into the zone. And because this would be a premium feature the user could customise their status by entering in their own as well as selecting from a list of cool preset ones.
This could be done by using an edit combo box.
And the ability of changing whither or not to recieve quick notes could be incorparated into this status box as well.
I know the ability to alter quick notes can be found in your account settings but this would put it right up there on any page.
One other suggestion.
premium members could have the ability to adjust their timeout length if their idle.

I would love to see that whole points exchange thing. i thought that would be coolawhile back, and it's cool that someone has suggested it. Since I've been too lazy to do it! Lol.
I also love the suggested option to temporarily disable quicknotes for one session, rather then to change it through account settings.
i can't wait to see the rest of the new features, and maybe some more killer games.

I think we are going to have a bank called "zonepal! anyway shouldn't say too much about that. have really done it now! .. I like the option of being able to ignore someone just for one session but I personally think that should be available for all members.
One other thing I've just thought about it is, and i'm not sure if this should be made available for all members only premium members.
i know you can quite easily go into the boards and check the topics with new posts.
however, why not have a feature whereby a user can be notified if a post they have either created or contributed too has been updated?
You could have email notifications, when you log in alerts and a one off quick note alert when you are logged in as a private quick note. And the ability to toggle these options.
It wouldn't be that hard to implament however, it is such an involved feature that I think premium members should only have this option.
On RD Freaks comment about giving the quick notes and status changes to non-premium members. I take your point. However, on the ignore quick notes for the session I really feel premium members should have this not to be all high and mighty but premium members are paying for extra services and anything that can make options that make already available options more convenient and tweakable should be given to premium members only.
You'd want to make premium membership more intisive than it already is.
I'm not saying only give new features to premium members and forget those that either can't or don't feel it's worth their dollars to pay at the moment either.

Good points, especially about what features to give to whom. We're looking into the reply notification thing. That one will probably go to everyone because it drives more people back to the site, which is cool for everyone. There's other ideas floating around taht haven't even been mentioned either. Stay tuned. I don't even know them all yet.
Hey DJ, I really like your siggestions. I think that everyone shouyld have the points exchange though, then it sorta makes it more even. I dunno though, all of that stuff is up to the admin, and so therefore, I will just wait and see what happens
Rd freak what is this zonepal think you was so criptic in mensioning very briefly? Will more about it be on the boards or sent in the zone mailing list? I do have a suggestion. Even though I am a standard member i think it would be cool if the reply thing could be implemented so anyone gets notified via email when a topic they posted was updated on. Also i think it would be cool if anyone (premium or standard) could use there points for something besides getting them for games only. marry christmas and happy new year to all.
yeah using the points for stuff would be neat. Maybe it costs so many points to play gajes, and maybe people could get oints for other things other ghan games. I dunno
i think it would be cool to have a link to show who registered recently on the zone. like the last 10 or so, and it can be updated when new people register. because you don't know a new person comes on unless you are on when they register.
I like all these ideas. Among other things, I think a buddylist would be fun to have. Also, is there somewhere on the site where one can view a list of users who have gone premium? if not, I think there shoudl be one, so if users want to chat with people about Premium and see what users have to say, they'd know who to go to? About a list of premium users. We'll probably do this at some point. Just looking at a good way to do it. As for seeing the recently registered users, go to profiles and sort by user id descending. That'll give the newest ones.
I agree with all of these so far. So far I haven't sen a reason to pay for TheAZone yet. I realize that a lot of time, effort and all of that has gone into this. I can't say that I could do it any better. However, at this time what is the real benifit for being ap remeum member? The QuickNote featuer that I've seen doesn't way it for me. Anagram Exstreem? I can't even play the regular one so againfor me at least, (And I realize I'm only one person), it doesn't do it for me. How about preemum members be abel to recieve one point per post. This could increase as the user posts more. For example, one point until you reach 100 posts, then it increases to five, and so on and so force. I also agree in having the list of preamum members. This way you can ask them if they think its worth it, a and what they have found that makes ther clock tick so-to-speak.
I have been enjoying the comments and ideas regarding the premium feature. I enjoy playing some of the games, but particularly anagrams. However, in the premium anagram game, one can't view the results for previous words, nor does anyone know who received the daily bonus for the game provided there is one. I noticed that if one looks at individuals' profiles, it is easily discovered who paid for the premium part of the zone. My concern is that there may be some who would prefer folks not know they have premium membership, so should that not be an option. Example: I might not want the world to know I am a premium member, especially since my sole purpose was to support the efforts of the team and feel the proceeds would enable this web page to be available for a long time to come. As far as the points are concerned, whether one has 2,000 or 399,000,000, there isn't much to do with them save for using them in games where you could conceivably lose points, which I do all the time since I do horribly with hangman, blackjack and yet high and low isn't too bad. I'd say I am gamer challenged! Smiles. I think all the team members are doing a spectacular job. I wish each and every one of you a joyous holiday season, hope you've been eating lots at Christmas parties, and don't let Christmas be an exception. Eat heartily.
